Modes of transmission The Tele dermatology (as telemedicine) is practiced based on two concepts: One is to store and send data and the other is the real interactive teledermatology. mannatech There are also hybrid modes (combining the two concepts). The store and forward method is commonly used in dermatology Tele: Which involves sending digital images associated with limited medical information to the data storage unit of a specialist consultation. It can be as easy as sending an email with a digital image of an injury to seek advice on a skin condition. The advantages of this method is that it does not require the presence of both parties at the same time and usually does not require expensive equipment. In teledermatology, interactive applications, the supplier and customers usually interact through live video conferencing. Surgery may also involve remote and use tele-robotic microscopes in dermatological pathology. This method usually requires more sophisticated and expensive technology than that used in the store and forward method. Both participants must be available at a time.
